This study focuses on the genomic characterization of Shewanella xiamenensis isolated from the feces of a clinical patient, carrying both bla NDM-1 and bla OXA-204. The presence of these carbapenemase genes indicates significant multidrug resistance, raising concerns about potential horizontal gene transfer and clinical treatment challenges. By sequencing and analyzing the genome of this strain, we aim to elucidate its antibiotic resistance mechanisms, mobile genetic elements, and phylogenetic relationships. The findings will contribute to a better understanding of the role of Shewanella xiamenensis in antimicrobial resistance dissemination and inform infection control strategies.
