This project investigates how Cnesterodon fishes (Poeciliidae), small viviparous species from South America, adapt to contrasting environments ranging from pristine to highly polluted waters. Using taxonomy, ecology, genomics and transcriptomics, we will explore genetic diversity, population traits, and gene expression responses to contaminants.
