The Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board (MFB) provides a world-\r\nclass fire and rescue service.\r\n\r\nCovering more than 1,000 square kilometres, we protect more than two million\r\nresidents, workers and visitors to Melbourne, as well as billions of dollars\r\nof assets and infrastructure - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.\r\n\r\nMFB firefighters are the first to respond to specific medical emergencies\r\nunder the Emergency Medical Response First Responder Program (EMR) - a first\r\nin Australia.\r\n\r\nThe MFB consistently reports some of the fastest emergency response times and\r\nachieves the highest percentage of fire containment to room of origin among\r\nall other Australian fire services.\r\n\r\n
