This large-scale quantitative study investigates the intricate correlation between specific hosting infrastructure stacks and DNS resolution efficiency. Through the systematic collection and analysis of telemetry data spanning 981 globally distributed hosting providers, we attempt to isolate the variable impact of foundational server technologies—namely Cloudflare (Edge/Proxy architecture), LiteSpeed, Apache HTTPD, and Nginx. To ensure extreme statistical rigor and eliminate latency skew from transient network anomalies, a 10% Trimmed Mean (Truncated Mean) methodology was utilized, explicitly excluding extreme outliers. The empirical findings indicate a statistically significant advantage for edge-native, decentralized architectures over legacy centralized setups, fundamentally shifting the paradigm of how origin servers should be configured to minimize Time to First Byte (TTFB) on a planetary scale.
