U.S. Democratic Campaign Outreach and Open Research Dissemination — Institutional Communication Dataset
收藏资源简介:
Description This dataset documents an independent citizen-auditing and open research dissemination initiative conducted by YAZARGAN ORGANIZATION, focusing on institutional communication, democratic accountability, civic engagement, and the dissemination of open research among political, academic, scientific, and civil society institutions in the United States. Building upon the initial publication, U.S. Democratic Campaign Outreach — Institutional Response Dataset v1.0, this second version expands the research scope from direct communication with political campaign organizations to the subsequent dissemination of published research to universities, academic research centers, democracy organizations, civic technology initiatives, election research institutions, and civil society organizations. The project examines how individual research activities can be transformed into structured, verifiable, and longitudinal research evidence through consistent documentation, publication, institutional notification, and follow-up observation. Dataset Contents This version documents the following research components: The initial register of 30 campaign contact email addresses used in the first outreach phase. The standard congratulatory and research-introduction message presenting Citizen Auditing and the Algorithmic Accountability and Audit Protocol (AAAP). Four automated acknowledgement messages received from campaign organizations. The initial publication of the research dataset on Zenodo. The subsequent dissemination of the published research to academic institutions, university research centers, democracy organizations, civic technology initiatives, election research organizations, and civil society institutions. The standard research dissemination email introducing the published dataset and related open research resources. A preliminary institutional response coding framework distinguishing automated acknowledgement, human response, substantive response, institutional action, and unverified delivery. Research Methodology The documentation follows a longitudinal citizen-auditing sequence: OBSERVE → RECORD → PUBLISH → NOTIFY → ACKNOWLEDGE → RESPOND → VERIFY → COMPARE → LEARN This sequence supports the systematic observation, documentation, publication, dissemination, verification, and comparison of institutional communication over time. The methodology treats research publication and subsequent dissemination as documented research activities rather than separate administrative tasks. Research Development: v1.0 to v2.0 Version 1.0 established the initial record of campaign outreach and four automated acknowledgement messages. Version 2.0 expands this record by documenting the subsequent distribution of the published research to relevant academic, scientific, civic, and institutional audiences. This development creates a broader research framework for examining the relationship between independent research, institutional communication, open science, and democratic accountability. Scope and Limitations This is an independent descriptive research dataset, not a representative survey of political campaign organizations or academic institutions. The contact addresses are reproduced from the researcher's outreach records and have not all been independently verified for current validity or official status. The researcher reports that the documented dissemination communications were sent. However, this does not independently establish successful email delivery, message opening, reading, substantive institutional review, endorsement, or acceptance of collaboration. The four acknowledgement messages from the initial phase document automated or standardized receipt notifications. They do not establish that a staff member substantively reviewed the research proposal or that any organization endorsed the initiative. Complete original email headers, SMTP delivery records, and exact transmission timestamps were not available for all communication records in this version. Research Significance This dataset demonstrates how individual research initiative can contribute to institutional accountability through accurate, consistent, transparent, and reproducible documentation. It advances the principle that documenting institutional communication is not exclusively an institutional responsibility. Citizens and independent researchers can also observe institutional processes, preserve evidence, publish findings, and invite institutions to examine their research. The project further demonstrates that open research dissemination can itself become an object of longitudinal institutional observation. The number of institutional responses is not the sole measure of research value. The quality, continuity, verifiability, and preservation of the evidence are equally important. This dataset is published to support open research, methodological discussion, civic education, institutional transparency, democratic accountability, and future comparative studies of institutional communication and research dissemination.
