Gut microbiota analysis associated with NAFLD and PPAR delta gene deletion

We fed PPAR delta knockout mice and wide-type mice with HFD to establish the NAFLD model and analyzed their gut microbiota. A total of 3666 amplicon sequence variants (ASVs) were identified in the sequence data. Our data shows that under the induction of a HFD, mice lacking the PPAR delta gene developed more serious gut dysbiosis, which was manifested by a large reduction in SCFA-producing bacteria, and a large increase in intestinal endotoxin-rich bacteria.
