Green-house gas emission should be reduced by replacing fossil resources by renewable resources in production systems to combat climate change. Electro-fermentation is to valorize industrial and municipal waste in a bioelectrochemical system. CO2 is the main substrate for microbial electrosynthesis study for producing commodity chemicals and replacing petroleum-based products. However, CO2 microbial electrosynthesis is a slow process and has low titers to be able to be applicable soon. On the other hand, CO is abundant feedstock emitted from fossil fuel-based production processes. In this work, cow fecal waste was enriched with CO, and the enrichment was used for CO electro-fermentation. This study provides the dominant species in the enrichment and an expected outcomes while CO electro-fermentation .
