Gobio huanghensis (Lo, Yao et Chen, 1977) is an endemic species in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, which belongs to the genus Gobio within the family Cyprinidae of the subfamily Gobioninae. It is only distributed in the Yinchuan to Lanzhou section of the Yellow River and mainly feeds on benthic animals. Gobio huanghensis mainly spawns in gravel-bottom rivers with slow flow during May and June.
