Data - The small mammals of Nyungwe National Park

Here, I present data on small mammal communities in Nyungwe National Park (NNP), Rwanda. I conducted a survey of non-volant small mammals in NNP in 2022-2023 as part of my PhD research. I have also presented a checklist of the non-volant small mammals of Nyungwe, from which a recent publication on the rodents of NNP (2025) was produced. This dataset also provides a list of scientific references documenting the mammals of Nyungwe from the 1960s. This is a continuous assessment in which future results from additional surveys will be incorporated into subsequent versions.
