Drone-borne Ground-penetrating radar reveals spatiotemporal moisture dynamics in peatland root zones: Dataset

This dataset provides spatial and temporal measurements of volumetric water content in a 4.5 ha Belgian peatland between May 2023 and September 2024. It includes: Point measurements of volumetric water content obtained from drone-borne Ground-Penetrating Radar on 19 different dates Kriged volumetric water content derived from the drone-borne Ground-Penetrating Radar measurements at a resolution of 5 meters on 19 different dates 411 spatial point measurements of volumetric water content with a CS615 probe (Campbell Scientific) on 13 different dates Continuous monitoring of volumetric water content with Teros12 sensors (Meter Group) at 5 positions, recorded every 10 minutes
