This study leveraged publicly available deep subsurface groundwater metagenomes to reconstruct hundreds of MAGs spanning 3 km of depth and use this dataset to investigate whether organisms show differences in their replication indices using iRep as a proxy measure or minimal generation times using growthpred as a proxy measure.
