资源简介:
This dataset contains the instrument file and spectral library to be used for reproducing the analysis performed by Stabbins et al for the paper "Optimising ExoMars Rover Remote Sensing Multispectral Science II: Choosing and Using Multispectral Filters for Dynamic Planetary Surface Exploration with Linear Discriminant Analysis".
The analysis on this dataset can be reproduced with the Spectral Parameters Toolkit (sptk): doi:10.5281/zenodo.10692531, and the notebook that acompanies the paper: doi:10.5281/zenodo.10697556.
sptk is a Python package for investigating the ability of a multispectral imaging system to identify distinct materials and material groups through differences in reflectance spectra. Instructions for installing sptk can be found at the sptk repository (doi:10.5281/zenodo.10692531).
Content
Instrument data file: exm_pc_geol.csv
This must be placed in the /sptk/data/instrument directory of your local installation of sptk.
Spectral library directory: stabbins2024_exmpc_hematite_spectral_library/
This must be unzipped and placed in the /sptk/data/spectral_library directory of your local installation of sptk.
Data Sources
The instrument dataset gives the centre-wavelengths and full-width-at-half-maximum values of the Geology filter set for the ExoMars PanCam instrument multispectral filter suite (Cousins et al 2012 doi:10.1016/j.pss.2012.07.009, Coates et al 2017 doi:10.1089/ast.2016.1548).
The spectral library dataset was compiled using the Western Washington University Visible-Infrared Spectral Browser (ViSOR, doi:10.5281/zenodo.6604832). The entries of the dataset were sourced (via ViSOR) from the Planetary Spectroscopy Facility, University of Winnipeg, the USGS Spectral Database, and the ASTER/ECOSTRESS Spectral Library.
If you use this dataset in any aspect of your research, in addition to citing this repository (by DOI), please acknowledge both ViSOR (by linking to the ViSOR webpage, and citing the DOI) as well as the University of Winnipeg Planetary Spectroscopy Facility, the USGS Spectral Library, and the ASTER/ECOTRESS Spectral Library.
