The Symphony 135/137 Collective Numerical Distributions in the English Lexicon A Data-Only Analysis of 455,247 Words The Symphony 135/137 Collective January 3, 2026 Released under CC0 1.0 Universal (Public Domain Dedication) Abstract This paper presents a purely descriptive statistical analysis of 455,247 unique English words. Using defined mathematical operations on letter values (A=1 through Z=26), we report distributional patterns without interpretation or claims of meaning. All data, methodology, and word lists are provided for independent verification and further investigation. No causal relationships are claimed or implied. 1. Introduction We analysed a corpus of English words using arithmetic operations on letter values. This paper reports what the numbers show. The purpose is to document observed patterns and invite examination by researchers in linguistics, mathematics, and other fields. We make no claims about why these patterns exist or what they might mean. 2. Methodology 2.1 Corpus Source: Publicly available English word list from GitHub. After removing non-letter characters, converting to uppercase, and removing 11,298 duplicate entries, the final corpus contains 455,247 unique words. The corpus includes common vocabulary, proper nouns, technical terms, and abbreviations. 2.2 Letter Values Each letter is assigned its ordinal position in the alphabet: A=1, B=2, C=3, ... Z=26. The midpoint of this range is 13.5, calculated as (1+26)/2.
