DATASET for the paper Tracking the chemical life histories of spruce resin-beeswax mixtures through degradation experiments using reflectance-mode FTIR

This repository contains the dataset associated with the paper “Tracking the chemical life histories of spruce resin-beeswax mixtures through degradation experiments using reflectance-mode FTIR”. It includes FTIR spectra from Experiment 49 processed with Kramers-Kronig transformation (KKT), auto-baseline correction (function fit method, quadratic correction order, data normalized to a zero baseline minimum), CO₂ band removal, and smoothing with a 17-point Savitzky-Golay (SG) filter (quadratic/cubic algorithm). Averaged spectra for each sample as described in the manuscript are also included. Spectra for an unaltered, pristine spruce resin-beeswax on flint control sample are provided as well. All FTIR spectra are provided in CSV format.
