Data based on reports published annually by the City of Warsaw, titled “Measurements of cycling traffic”. These reports provide detailed monitoring of cycling traffic at approximately 60 selected locations in Warsaw. The data is collected on days that exhibit similar mete- orological conditions (sunny weather, no precipitation) and “calendar” conditions (non-holiday weekdays). Variables such as the number of cyclists, type of bicycle, cyclist location (pavement, roadway, cycle path, etc.), and gender of cyclists are monitored. Our data set consists of a total of 205 observations from the reports spanning the years 2019 to 2022. Another significant part of our data such as the locations of Veturilo stations, the locations of trees, the entrances to the metro, the locations of public transport stops in the area and the timetables at these stops are obtained from the City of Warsaw “Dane po Warszawsku” API. Population density data in kilometre grids is sourced from the GUS geostatistical portal. Information on bicycle infrastructure is derived from the map service provided by the City of Warsaw.
