The Veterans Curation Program utilizes the standard archival practice of unique naming of collections. The purpose of this practice is to avoid redundant and confusing collection names commonly found with archaeological investigations. Therefore, this collection is referred to as "Russell County Arbitrary (Multiple) 1969 and N.D.” This name is consistent throughout the finding aid, the file folders, and the box labels. The extent of this collection is two-tenths (0.2) linear inch.
There were two documents found in one acidic box. These documents are artifact box inventories. These documents were removed from the artifact materials and copied onto acid free paper to create the archival investigation. The original documents were placed in resealable, 4-mil polyethylene bags and remain with the artifact collection. There are multiple site numbers on the inventory documents as follows; 1BR25, 1BR35, 1BR-JM1, 1RU28, 1RU33, 1RU51, 1RU64, 1RU67, 1RU68, 1RU69, 1RU-FR1, 1RU-JM1, 1RU-JM2, 1RU-JM7, 1RUJM8, 1RU-JM9, MISC- ALA.
