Text S1 contains the thermodynamic calculation for electron exchange reaction. Text S2 is the calculation of magnetite content. Table S3 provides the EPMA settings. Figures S1 to S5 display the petrological and geochemical characteristics of the studied impact glass. Figure S6 shows examples for recognizing impact melts on the Moon. Figure S7 exhibits location of CE-5 landing site. Figure S8 and S9 shows the impact melts associated with magnetic anomalies on the Moon. Table S1 presents the EPMA results of the partially melted ilmenite and impact glass. Table S2 describes the characteristics of the impact-melt-crystallized magnetite, which are mostly consistent with the impact-melt-crystallization formation mechanism. Table S3 presents the EDS results of the metallic iron particle embedded in the impact glass.
