Planting Priority Level

Planting Priority Layer: To help the City of Tallahassee, Florida increase the environmental benefits that trees provide, an urban tree canopy assessment was conducted to determine the current land cover. This analysis makes it possible to identify the areas available to plant trees. Further analysis to identify the most suitable locations was also conducted. Each planting location was assigned a priority ranking in order to receive the most return on investment based on environmental benefits received from trees.This layer was generated from a 2015 Lidar point Cloud for Leon County, Florida.
