This is the promotion of Violet Nye who became an Auxillary Controller in Queen Mary Army Auxillary Corps. Editor's Comment: Cutting from newsletter of Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps, including: a poem by J. M. Erskine, beginning: 'That we've not joined to "swank" it for | pay, or for fun,'; an article, titled: 'An Englishwoman's Experiences on a Journey to the Eastern Front', by Constance Smith, officer in charge Drafing Depot, Gateshead; lists of discharged persons and promotions. The Women's Auxiliary Army Corps became Queen Mary's Auxiliary Army Corps in April 1918. Notification of Viloet Nye's promotion to the rank of Deputy Administrator.
