Immigrant Journalism National Map: A National Baseline of Immigrant-Serving Journalism in the United States (v1.0, Phase 1A)

A versioned research infrastructure for studying immigrant-serving journalism across the United States. Version 1.0 (Phase 1A) is a frozen national baseline: 531 assessed records and 301 core verified outlets or journalism products across all 50 states and the District of Columbia, with codebooks, a data dictionary, review decisions, audit summaries, build scripts, and SHA-256 checksums. The frozen snapshot is in releases/national-immigrant-journalism-map-v1.0-phase1a/. The map is a sampling frame, not a census. Later phases add institutional enrichment, external support infrastructure, and risk events coded across legal, physical, political, economic, and informational domains. Data and documentation are licensed CC BY 4.0; source code in scripts/ and .github/workflows/ is licensed MIT.
