Flood in Italy (2025-03-14)

On the 14th of March 2025 at early hours, heavy rainfall has affected the Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna regions, Italy. The event is ongoing and increasing, with flooding already impacting multiple cities. The Rimaggio River has flooded Sesto Fiorentino, while other areas in Tuscany are partially submerged. The Arno River is under observation, expected to peak later in Florence and subsequently in Pisa. In Emilia-Romagna, the Lamone River has surpassed the red level in Marradi and partially flooded the town, it is expected to peak subsequently in Faenza. Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping is requested to provide flood extent mapping and monitoring and damage assessment emergency mapping.
