We have developed a method to advance SANS techniques by revealing the phase profile of the neutron wave function. This is important as in typical SANS experiments, neutrons are detected in the far-field where phase information is lost. The ability to recover phase information in SANS measurements is becoming increasingly important due to the rapid progress in the production and detection of structured neutron waves within the last 10 years. We are the first group to generate and detect neutron OAM beams and neutron Airy beams. Here we aim to extend our interferometric method that extracts phase information in SANS measurements by interfering more complex neutron waves such as Airy beams and different orbital angular momentum (OAM) states.
