Data from Antarctica in the Chilean national curriculum
收藏资源简介:
This dataset includes the data, scripts, and results of our study on Antarctica within the Chilean national curriculum, ensuring methodological transparency and full reproducibility of the analyses. It also includes documentation of coding quality and recoding checks, including a double-coded subsample of learning objectives, the R script used to quantify inter-coder agreement, and the corresponding reliability outputs. 1) Data (coding matrices) - Matrix_Data-EER.xlsxFinal analysis-ready dataset used for all analyses and visualisations in the manuscript. Each row corresponds to a Learning Objective (LO), including the variables required to compute the Index of Antarctic Opportunity (IOA) and to produce aggregated results by subject, education level, and grade (e.g., normalised presence and depth components, student agency, interdisciplinary integration, thematic categories, Polar Literacy links, and national/international legal-policy alignment variables). - Matrix_codebooks.xlsxCodebook / coding matrix documenting the meaning of each variable, the operational definitions used to assign codes, and the scoring scales (e.g., thematic categories, Polar Literacy Principles, national and international legal/policy foundations, and the presence/depth scoring rules). Where relevant, it also includes the normalisation rules and any decision criteria used during coding. - Doublecoding_randomsampleCo_A2.xlsxDouble-coded subsample used to estimate inter-coder reliability. This file contains independent coding for a subset of LOs, enabling the assessment of agreement for key variables (including IOA components and categorical/binary dimensions). - RES-EER_fidelity_subsampling.xlsxResults of reliability analyses, including Cohen’s kappa and weighted kappa for categorical and ordinal codes, Gwet’s AC1/AC2 as a prevalence-robust complement to kappa, and intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) for continuous outcomes (e.g., IOA scores). 2) Scripts (R) - run_all.RR script that reproduces the full workflow reported in the manuscript: data import, IOA computation (following the Methods definition), generation of all figures, and export of supplementary tables. - reliability_script.RR script used in reliability analyses. 3) Documentation - README.txtQuick-start guide describing the folder structure, required inputs, expected column names, and step-by-step instructions to run run_all.R.
