Norwegian Election Survey 2009

The Election Survey 2009 is a part of The Norwegian National Election Studies (NNES) started at the Institute for Social Research (ISF) in the 1950s. The purpose of the election survey 2009 is partly to extend analyses from previous elections and partly to study present tendencies in Norwegian Politics and distinctive features of the Norwegian Parliament election that took place in 2009. The survey also encompass questions concerning actual voting, motivation for participation and choice of political party.

At the ISF, Bernt Aardal has been responsible for the survey. In 2009 Statistics Norway conducted the data collection; while the ISF have been responsible for developing the questionnaire. Statistics Norway have drawn the sample, carried out the data collection and organized the resulting data files.
