Colistin resistant E. coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae were cultured from faecal samples from a sample of the Dutch general population (n=661)and Dutch veterinary healthcare workers (n=482). Prevalence was 5.4% in persons from the Dutch population sample and 8.1% of the veterinary healthcare workers. In total six mcr-positive isolates were identified.
