Shown here is Millard Sheets, Director of the Fine Arts Exhibit annually held at the Los Angeles County Fair (Sept. 14-30) and one of America's most distinguished artists, who has just returned from a year in Hawaii in time to arrange final details and staging of this year's exhibit, 'One World of Art'. The exhibit, which will consist of masterpieces on loan from Metropolitan and other museums here and abroad illustrating the art and cultures of twenty countries from 4000 B.C. to 1951 A.D., is insured for over a million dollars. The Fine Arts exhibit at the County Fair is only exhibition of national stature staged by any fair in the United States. Last year, the show attracted 900,000 persons from the million and a half fair attendance. Sheets is also head of the Scripps College Art Department".
