本志是对我国晚古生代(包括少量晚志留世)孢粉化石50年研究成果的首次系统总结。书中收集了1960—2008年以来公开发表的有关文献及孢粉属种(295属,2288种),先按地层时代进行分工编撰,再按《植物命名国际法规》有关条款和R. Potonié分类系统进行系统厘定,归纳整理和汇总统一。
该书分为五章,第一章是晚古生代化石孢子、花粉系统分类下的属种描述;第2—4章分别总结了我国泥盆纪、石炭纪和二叠纪孢粉组合的演替序列,包括泥盆系–石炭系、石炭系–二叠系以及二叠系–三叠系的孢粉地层学界线;第六章探讨若干理论上和生物地层上的问题,包括陆生维管束植物起源于早志留世的孢粉证据、我国石炭纪—二叠纪孢粉植物群分区、裸子植物花粉优势组合在我国石炭—二叠纪纪出现的时间和空间分布序列及其在植物学、地质学上的意义;华夏孢粉植物群的主要特征、组合序列及某些孢粉属的首现层位。
该书内容丰富、资料全面而新颖。全书分为上、下两册,共计1092页,249万字。书中附6幅插图、11张图表,168幅图版,可供科研、化石能源生产单位和高等教育部门参考应用
This monograph is the first systematic summary of 50 years of research achievements on Late Paleozoic (including a small amount of Late Silurian) sporopollen fossils in China. It compiles published literature and sporopollen genera and species (295 genera, 2288 species) from 1960 to 2008. The content was first compiled by stratigraphic age, then systematically revised, sorted out and unified in accordance with relevant clauses of the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature and the R. Potonié classification system.
This monograph is divided into five chapters. Chapter 1 describes the genera and species under the systematic classification of Late Paleozoic fossil spores and pollen; Chapters 2 to 4 respectively summarize the succession sequences of sporopollen assemblages of the Devonian, Carboniferous and Permian in China, including the sporopollen stratigraphic boundaries of Devonian-Carboniferous, Carboniferous-Permian and Permian-Triassic; Chapter 6 discusses several theoretical and biostratigraphic issues, including the sporopollen evidence for the origin of terrestrial vascular plants in the Early Silurian, the zoning of Carboniferous-Permian sporopollen floras in China, the temporal and spatial distribution sequences and the botanical and geological significance of the dominant gymnosperm pollen assemblages that appeared during the Carboniferous-Permian in China, as well as the main characteristics, assemblage sequences and first occurrence horizons of certain sporopollen genera of the Cathaysian sporopollen flora.
This monograph boasts rich content, comprehensive and up-to-date data. It is published in two volumes (upper and lower), with a total of 1092 pages and 2.49 million words. It includes 6 illustrations, 11 tables and 168 plates, and can serve as a reference for scientific research institutions, fossil energy production enterprises and higher education institutions.
