Topics in this survey are views about the State Government and State politics, which State party is more able, solving transport problems in Sydney/Melbourne, knowledge of names of State Premier and Leader of the Opposition in the State and opinion of their performance, vote intention in State election, vote at last State election, effect on day-to-day life of Federal Government/State Government/Local Council, influence on Local Council policy, attitudes to cities, preferred type of residential location, and attitude towards development of growth centres. Standard variables are country of birth, marital status, education level, religious denomination, occupation and industry of respondent and head of household, age group, sex, vote intention, vote at last Federal election, political preference of parents, subjective assessment of social class, number of persons in household, number and ages of children under 16 in household, life cycle, ownership of home, gross income and whether on telephone.
