Sequence-Based Characterization of Antimicrobial Peptides

This repository contains 376 antimicrobial peptide sequences, ranging from 8 to 36 amino acids, with associated physicochemical, structural, aggregation and activity-prediction features. The recorded descriptors include hydrophobic moment, corrected GRAVY, disorder propensity, amphiphilicity, polyproline-II coil propensity, linear moment, membrane-penetration depth, tilt angle, net charge, isoelectric point, hydrophobic-residue angle, peptide length, and predicted in vitro and in vivo aggregation. Prediction scores from MLCPP2.0, AMPscannerV2 and HAPPENN represent cell-penetrating potential, antimicrobial activity and haemolytic propensity, respectively. The resource supports comparative peptide analysis, feature selection, machine-learning model development and the design of potent, cell-penetrating and non-haemolytic antimicrobial peptides.
