These 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing data were generated from fecal DNA collected from female adult wild-type mice and mice lacking lecithin retinal acyltransferase (LRAT) and retinol-binding protein (RBP) expression, receiving a vitamin A-deficient diet and either beta-carotene or vehicle daily for two weeks via gavage.
