Starting from the mechanism of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AM fungi) in plant pest control, this study focuses on elucidating two approaches by which AM fungi modify the defense response mechanisms of symbiotic plants during pest infestation, thereby providing theoretical foundations for the biological control of plant pests. Finally, it also outlines the future development directions of AM fungi and their application prospects in pest management.
