Grain size of seafloor sediments, Western Black Sea, DOORS Cruise 1 (MN240)

The dataset contains data on the distribution of grain size fractions in upper layer (5 cm) of seafloor sediments of the Western Black Sea (Romanian EEZ) collected during DOORS cruise 1 (MN240), 2023. Sampling was performed using multicorer from seafloor depths from 26 m to 394 m. The analyses were performed using Mastersizer 2000 diffractometer without taking into account the fraction > 2 mm. Various methods of particle pre-dispersion were applied, as shown in specific data sets. For re-dispersion of particles, sodium hexametaphosphate solution was used and ultrasound due for 30 min.
