UK mobile phone gaming reach 2012-2023, by gender

A September to November 2023 survey of UK adults aged 16 years and older found that 36 percent of female respondents played games on their mobile phone, up from a 20 percent gaming penetration among the same group in 2019. During the initial outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, mobile gaming made double digit gains across all demographic groups, with mobile gamers aged 35 to 44 years experiencing the biggest growth of 24 percentage points.
