This dataset accompanies the flow data of article titled "Machine-learned flow estimation with sparse data --- exemplified for the rooftop of an unmanned aerial vehicle vertiport" by Chang Hou, Luigi Marra, Guy Y. Cornejo Maceda, Peng Jiang, Jingguo Chen, Yutong Liu, Gang Hu, Jialong Chen, Andrea Ianiro, Stefano Discetti, Andrea Meilán-Vila and Bernd R. Noack.
This paper enables extrapolation of wind conditions far beyond the training data, and is exemplified for the flow above an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) vertiport.
The zip files contain RANS simulation data in CSV format, with the axis and the velocity information in each column.
The files are named according to the working conditions, where "V" denotes the oncoming wind speed. Specifically, V2 corresponds to 3.3 m/s, V4 to 7.9 m/s, V6 to 13.8 m/s, and V8 to 20.7 m/s.
The letter "A" represents the wind angle.
