Characterization of JOINTLESS (J) in tomato

The transcriptomes of tomato 1) jointless mutants (j) in Ailsa Craig (AC) and Heinz (Hz) backgrounds and 2) JOINTLESS overexpressors (35S:J) in AC background were compared to their respective AC and Hz wild types. The two youngest meristems were harvested in developing inflorescences and 60-90 meristem pools were harvested in four independent biological replicates. Plants were grown in 16-h long days, 150 umol m-2 s-1 white light.
