a Heterolepidoderma includes all species assigned to Heterolepidoderma based on morphological data.The Heterolepidoderma clade collates only those congeners and Chaetonotus and Ichthydium species that cluster together with He. ocellatum (i.e.the type species of Heterolepidoderma). The He. acidophilum and He. ocellatum clade comprises not only those two species and their relatives but also Ch. (Ch.) aff. gelidus (GA_19.10) and Chaetonotus sp. (TR_5.1).
