Heavy Precipitation Hazard Map for the City of Bremen
收藏资源简介:
The heavy rainfall hazard information map serves as an initial source of information for personal and public heavy rainfall risk management, as well as for civil protection, to provide an overview of a potential hazard situation. The heavy rainfall hazard information map shows, for every square metre in Germany, the maximum flood depth, the maximum flow velocity and the direction of flow following two simulated heavy rainfall events: An exceptional event, such as one that statistically occurs once every 100 years (regional variations in precipitation amounts according to the KOSTRA-DWD dataset)An extreme event with 100 mm of precipitation in one hour. This datashould not be used for a risk assessment accurate to the metre or as a basis for planning adaptation measures. For these purposes, local heavy rainfall hazard maps may be suitable, as these are often adapted to local conditions and needs for planning purposes.
