资源简介:
## **Abstract** \n\nThis dataset was supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and is presented here as originally supplied. Metadata was not provided and has been compiled by the Bioregional Assessment Programme based on the known details at the time of acquisition.\n\n\n\nThe data set was created by Becky Rollins (Hydrogeologist) at Parson Brinckerhoff and supplied under licence by AGL. It contains a shapefile of the Alluvium boundary as remapped by Parsons Brinckerhoff. The data are required for the groundwater assessment of the Gloucester basin.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nThe data set was created by Becky Rollins (Hydrogeologist) at Parson Brinckerhoff and supplied under licence by AGL. \n\n\n\nThe following data sources were used when developing an updated alluvium boundary for the Avon River and Wards River in the Gloucester Basin:\n\n\tGeological mapping (Roberts et al, 1991)\n\n\tAerial photography\n\n\tSlope analysis, based on the 1-sec SRTM DEM-S (Geoscience Australia, 2013)\n\n\tGeological logs - exploration logs (AGL, 2013), monitoring bore logs (Parsons Brinckerhoff, 2012)\n\n\tNSW Office of Water Registered Bores (NOW, 2013)\n\n\tTEM Survey, Stratford Coal Project Hydrogeological Assessment (Heritage Computing, 2012)\n\n\n\nThe mapped alluvium extent (Roberts et al, 1991) associated with the Avon River is inaccurate in the vicinity of Dog Trap Creek and Avondale Creek. Geological logs from exploration bores and monitoring bores in the area show that alluvium is not present over some of the mapped area. The extent was updated based on these logs, and a TEM survey undertaken in the area (Heritage Computing, 2012). Slope analysis and aerial photography was used to update the Avon River and Wards River alluvium extent across the Gloucester Basin.\n\nThe typical thickness of alluvium encountered in the vicinity of the central AGL owned properties within the Stage 1 Gas Field Development Area (GFDA) is approximately 12m, and elsewhere it is not expected to exceed 15m.\n\nYours sincerely\n\n \n\n\n\nBecky Rollins\n\nHydrogeologist\n\nReferences\n\nAGL (2013) Drilling completion reports, Exploration bores\n\nGeoscience Australia (2013) available at http://www.ga.gov.au/metadata-gateway/metadata/record/gcat_72759, accessed November 2013\n\nHeritage Computing (2012) A Hydrogeological Assessment in Support of the Stratford Coal Project: Environmental Impact Statement, Report HC2012/2, dated April 2012\n\nNSW Office of Water (2013) Groundwater Database, available at http://waterinfo.nsw.gov.au/gw/, accessed May 2013\n\nParsons Brinckerhoff (2012) Phase 2 Groundwater Investigations - Stage 1 Gas Field Development Area, Gloucester Gas Project, Report PR_5630, dated January 2012\n\nRoberts, J., Engel, B. & Chapman, J.
