This repository contains the Stata and Python scripts used in the study titled “Duration of Social Media Use and Mental Burden: Dose-Response Effect, Parallel Mediating Mechanism and Age Differences.”The raw dataset analysed in this study is publicly available on Kaggle under the Open Database License (ODbL) v1.0:https://www.kaggle.com/datasets/souvikahmed071/social-media-and-mental-healthDue to licensing requirements, the original dataset is not redistributed here.The Stata scripts include all data cleaning procedures (including variable renaming and winsorization) and the main statistical analyses.The Python script is provided for generating the restricted cubic spline (RCS) visualizations reported in the manuscript.Running the scripts sequentially on the original Kaggle dataset will fully reproduce the empirical results presented in the article.
