GRACE and GRACE-FO Post Processing in Python

This package is used to teach the post-processing of the GRACE and GRACE-FO data sets during the Summer School: "Satellite-Based Hydrological Data Assimilation", August 26-28, 2025, at the Geodesy Research Group, Department of Sustainability and Planning, Aalborg University, Denmark. The code offers possibilities to replace low-degree coefficients, reducing the effect of solid Earth deformation, applying smoothing/filtering, and accounting for leakage and spatial averaging. This code also provides a Markov Chain Monte Carlo error propagation tool to estimate the errors of TWS estimates, based on the known full covariance information of the level 2 data (often taken from ITSG products).The theoretical information is provided in chapter 3 of the document: Schumacher, M., Mehrnegar, N., Forootan, E.
