Data and code for: Close to the cutoff: boundary proximity, score sensitivity and the year-to-year mobility of SCImago journal quartiles, 2010–2025
收藏资源简介:
Analysis-ready data, result tables, plot data and code for the study Close to the cutoff: boundary proximity, score sensitivity and the year-to-year mobility of SCImago journal quartiles, 2010–2025. The study follows 811,438 journal-category transitions in the SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) series from 2010→2011 to 2024→2025. It measures how often category-specific quartiles change, how change depends on a journal's distance from the nearest quartile cutoff, and how sensitive quartile labels are to perturbations of SJR. Contents: data/: the journal-category transition panel (1,806,415 rows, 1999–2024 start years) and the journal-category-year panel (1,736,361 rows, 1999–2025) in Parquet format, a data dictionary, and a manifest of the 27 raw SCImago files with SHA-256 checksums; results/: the 22 provenance-stamped result tables and model and benchmark diagnostics; manuscript/: the exact plotted values for every figure, the manuscript tables, the figures, every number quoted in the text, and the script that produces them; code/: the full Python pipeline with configuration and tests. The raw SCImago ranking files are not redistributed; they can be downloaded from the SCImago Journal & Country Rank portal and verified against the manifest. See README.md for definitions, the filters that reproduce the analysis populations, and instructions for re-running the pipeline. Data: CC BY 4.0. Code: MIT License. SJR values originate from SCImago (data source: Scopus).
