Augmenting User Geocoordinates and Mobility with ENhanced Tutorials (AUGMENT): Usability Testing

The Augmenting User Geocoordinates and Mobility with Enhanced Tutorials (AUGMENT) project aimed to provide proof of concept that a robust instructional package can support the successful use of existing, complex navigation applications, including map and rideshare apps, by a diverse group of individuals with cognitive impairments. The project also aimed to provide proof of product through a summative evaluation of the developed instructional packages. Following initial tutorial development, the materials underwent two rounds of usability testing, followed by a round of efficacy testing in which participants were asked to perform tasks using Google Maps and Uber after receiving training on one of the apps.<br>
