This project sampled the tongue and nasal microbiota of 1,450 healthy individuals who visited a cultural institution in New York during either April 29-July 31, 2016 or January 28-April 30, 2017. The goal of the project was to understand the diversity of the healthy human microbiome, sampling from a diverse group of people who had come to New York City from many different geographical locations.
