A strain with broad-spectrum bacteriostatic properties and the ability to produce bacteriocins was carefully isolated from traditional yogurt in Xinjiang. The genes associated with bacteriocin production were identified through whole genome sequencing. The production of bacteriocins was increased by cloning and expressing the relevant genes.
