This dataset contains physical, granulometric, and thermal properties of sediments collected from Guangopolo and Cumbayá reservoirs in Ecuador. Data include particle size, mineralogical signatures (as determined by FTIR), and thermal decomposition parameters obtained via TGA and DSC analyses, which support sustainable sediment reuse and circular economy research. Special thanks to Empresa Electrica Quito, which allowed sampling to be carried out in the Cumbayá and Guangopolo reservoirs under Interinstitutional Cooperation Agreement No. CONV-SG-011-2024
