Eco-AlpsWater project: cytochrome c oxidase subunit I gene (COI) sequences determined in samples collected in Lake Garda and Lake Albano (Italy)

This dataset contains cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) gene sequences obtained from the analysis of samples collected in lakes Garda (northern Italy) and Albano (central Italy) in the framework of the Interreg Alpine Space project Eco-AlpsWater (ASP569). The data were collected in 2021 in the littoral zone (Garda and Albano) and in the pelagic zone (Albano). After eDNA extraction and PCR amplification, the final library was sequenced on an Illumina MiSeq (PE300) platform.
