Paddy soil metagenomes and metatranscriptomes with straw and nitrate amendment

We aimed to: i) quantify the millimeter-scale straw-soil zonation and its influence on inorganic As speciation and the dynamics of N transformation in the soil porewater; (ii) elucidate vertical stratification of transcriptional active functional microbial community involved in As, C, and N metabolism across straw-soil interface redox gradients; and iii) unveil the interactions among methanotrophs, methanogens, denitrifiers and As-oxidation microbes at different redox gradients.
