Diversity of Ant in and around Nasik city

Nasik has the great diversity of class- insecta. Ants are social organisms found in most of the temperate habitat. The study of ant diversity is an important aspect for the ecological assessment, species richness, and diversity distribution pattern of the region. In this study different species of ant are being considered for the diversity study located in and around Nasik city. During the assessment, 12 species of ant were recorded belonging to different sub-family and genera.
