This data presents the results of the RNA sequencing of Psedomonas aeruginosa (PAO1 & PA14) cells confined at the hexadecane-water interfaces vs. control cells (in the saline solution). RNA sequencing was performed to characterize the change in the transcriptional profile of the cells after interfacial confinement. Also, live/dead imaging was performed to evaluate the physiological stress induced by the confinement at the oil-water interface, known as FBI (films of bacteria at interfaces) conditions. Related video files and growth dynamic data can be found in GRIIDC datasets R4.x259.000:0004 and R4.x259.000:0003, respectively.
