资源简介:

Summary NOAA's Regional ABI and VIIRS fire Emissions (RAVE) products provide hourly fire radiative power (FRP), fire radiative energy (FRE), and fire emissions for 11 chemical species (CO2, CO, CH4, PM2.5, OC, BC, SO2, TPM, NH3, NOx, and VOCs) at 0.03° (~3 km) for fires across North America. The RAVE products estimate hourly fire emissions by blending high temporal-resolution (10 minutes) GOES-R ABI FRP at a nominal of 2 km and fine spatial-resolution (375 m) VIIRS FRP. For more information about the products algorithm, please refers to the following papers. The operational RAVE products are available for free download in near real time at NOAA CLASS data port [https://www.class.noaa.gov, by searching "Enterprise Fire and Emissions Products (FIRES)"]. RAVE data of recent six months can be visualized at NOAA/OSPA (https://www.ospo.noaa.gov/products/land/rave/). This dataset is the RAVE version 2.0 reprocessed by the RAVE science team at South Dakota State Univeristy (SDSU) and NOAA/STAR for several years starting from 2021. Reprocessed data of years prior to 2021 will likely be added here in future once it is available (August and September 2020 have been added). Hourly FRP, FRE, and emissions are stored in NetCDF files, with each NC file keeping data of daily 24 hours (UTC). There are two sets of emissions: (1) unscaled estimates and (2) estimates scaled with biome-specific scaling factors. The unscaled emissions estimates are recommended for most applications. The scaled emissions estimates are primarily used for NOAA's AQM models. Ancillary information of IGBP land cover map, EPA's level I ecoregion map, and grid area is also provided. This dataset is open access for the public. The science team is preparing papers on FRP and emissions analyses with this dataset [we would like to be notified when it is used for similar analyszes of RAVE FRP and emissions for publication]. Please cite the following papers that describe the RAVE algorithm when this dataset is used for publication. Please contact the RAVE science team if you have any questions.
